Among its most distinguished offerings are the Gaylord Hotels, known for their impressive, large-scale meeting venues, vibrant entertainment, and innovative programming that bring people together in extraordinary ways. The Gaylord brand is unique, offering its associates, known as STARs, a dynamic work environment that goes beyond the traditional hotel experience. The company prides itself on fostering a culture of creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and heartfelt service, all while delivering outstanding opportunities for career growth and development. At Marriott and Gaylord Hotels, the emphasis on diversity, inclusion, and respect for each individual’s unique background makes this an enriching place to work. The resort provides a vibrant and engaging atmosphere where employees can thrive while contributing to the memorable guest experience that the brand is known for.

Employees must monitor dining room activity to guarantee availability, safety, and guest satisfaction continuously. In addition to engaging directly with guests, the position demands adherence to all company policies governing safety, security, and service standards. Employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, practice confidentiality, and protect company assets. Communication skills are also paramount, including the ability to speak clearly with guests and colleagues and to manage telephone inquiries courteously and efficiently. There is a significant emphasis on teamwork and helping support colleagues to achieve shared goals in a fast-paced and sometimes physically demanding setting. The job requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and handling light physical tasks such as moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
