We are seeking a dynamic and personable Host/Hostess to join our team. This role is the face of our dining service, making a crucial first and lasting impression on our guests. Ideal candidates will possess strong interpersonal skills, be organized, empathetic, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting guests with a sincere smile, seating them appropriately to maximize table usage, and ensuring any special requests or needs are met. Beyond seating guests, this position demands excellent communication with kitchen staff and servers to enhance operational efficiency. The role requires adaptability to guest needs and maintaining a positive demeanor at all times.
Your responsibilities also include maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the front-of-house area, escalating guest needs or concerns when necessary, and adhering to Aramark's strict food safety policies and procedures. This position may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended standing, or walking. Uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) may also be required for safety and hygiene purposes. Working flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in host or hostess or food service roles preferred
- excellent communication skills
- strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
- physical ability to lift bend push pull stand and walk for extended periods
- willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment
- ability to obtain food safety certification
Job Qualifications
- Previous host or hostess or food service experience preferred
- demonstrates excellent guest service skills
- demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
