Job Description
Thrive Restaurant Group is a family-owned restaurant company with an impressive history spanning over 50 years. Known for its commitment to community and exceptional hospitality, Thrive Restaurant Group has built a legacy centered on making a positive difference in the lives of their guests and the neighborhoods they serve. The company prides itself on cultivating a family atmosphere and providing career growth opportunities within the restaurant industry. Thrive Restaurant Group operates a variety of dining concepts, one of which is HomeGrown, a restaurant concept launched in 2017. HomeGrown is rooted in the philosophy that starting the day with kindness encourages that kindness to flow outwards to others throughout the day. This vision is supported by partnerships with local producers who bring fresh, community-inspired ingredients and products to every table, creating an authentic and welcoming dining experience. The core company value, "Cultivating Kindness," influences every aspect of Thrive Restaurant Group’s operations, from guest interactions to team member development, fostering a culture where respect and care for others are paramount. Thrive Restaurant Group offers an environment where employees can not only build a career in the hospitality industry but also learn valuable business and leadership skills in a supportive and fun setting. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who want to join an organization that views its employees as an extension of its family and who are motivated to help create memorable guest experiences through kindness and genuine service.
The available position is for a Host at the HomeGrown restaurant, an exciting role integral to creating positive guest experiences. The Host serves as the first and last face that guests encounter when visiting the establishment, playing a crucial role in setting the tone for an enjoyable visit. Responsibilities include enthusiastically greeting guests upon arrival with a bright smile and ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout their stay. The Host is responsible for seating guests and managing the flow of the dining room, which includes accommodating special needs such as highchairs, boosters, or guests with disabilities. The role also involves serving as a cashier, processing payments with accuracy and care to maintain smooth transactions. Additional duties include managing the waitlist when the restaurant reaches full capacity, assisting servers as needed, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within the work area. Physical demands accompany the position, such as navigating the restaurant efficiently, lifting and moving objects like highchairs up to 15 pounds multiple times per shift, and performing light cleaning tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, mobility, a positive attitude, and a genuine desire to care for others. The Host position at Thrive Restaurant Group is offered on an employment basis with compensation that includes the tip credit minimum wage plus tips, with actual earnings varying based on availability. Thrive Restaurant Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing reasonable accommodations to support employees with disabilities. This role offers a rare opportunity to grow within a dedicated and community-oriented company, contributing meaningfully to both customer satisfaction and the positive culture that Thrive Restaurant Group cultivates.
