The Host role at Tierra Sur is integral to shaping the first impression guests have of the restaurant, a responsibility that entails creating warm, memorable welcomes and facilitating seamless dining experiences. The position is full-time, offering a competitive hourly wage of $18 to $20, dependent on experience and educational background. Job Duties

  • Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact
  • escort them to assigned dining area
  • present menus
  • announce waiters name
  • offer choice of seating based on guests' party size and server's availability
  • inform guest of current promotions and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handbook to the service staff
  • engage with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service
  • read, maintain and make daily entries in the logbook to coordinate communication between shifts and management
  • maintain proper set-up of the dining room
  • remain knowledgeable of the menu
  • receive records and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant
  • engage with guests by providing great customer service
  • keep host station neat and organized
  • perform any other job related duties as assigned
