We are currently seeking a dedicated Host to join our front-of-house team. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $15 to $20 per hour, reflecting the importance of this role within our hospitality operations. The Host serves as the essential first and last point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their entire dining experience. This role requires an individual with exceptional hospitality skills, polished communication abilities, and a calm yet efficient approach to managing reservations and guiding guest flow throughout service.

As a Host, you will be responsible for warmly greeting guests upon their arrival and ensuring their comfort while they wait. Managing reservations through the SevenRooms platform, you will maintain accurate and up-to-date waitlists while coordinating seating arrangements to optimize table turns without compromising guest satisfaction. Your ability to communicate seamlessly with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams will be vital in maintaining the smooth operation of the dining room.

In addition to guest interaction, the Host is tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of key front-of-house areas including the host stand, entryway, and restrooms, reflecting our commitment to an inviting and hygienic environment. You will also handle telephone inquiries professionally, assist with special requests such as private dining or large parties, and possess a good knowledge of the menu and specials to confidently address guest questions.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in a host or guest-facing hospitality role, preferably in upscale or fine dining
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays
  • Flexible schedule helpful
  • Valid Food Handler Certificate required
  • Valid State Alcohol Server Certificate required

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a friendly, professional demeanor

  • Communicate effectively with FOH and BOH teams to optimize table turns and guest satisfaction
  • Provide accurate wait time estimates and ensure guests are comfortable while waiting
  • Answer the phone promptly and professionally, assisting with inquiries and reservation requests
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entryway, restrooms, and front-of-house areas
