Maintaining organization during busy service times and multitasking between greeting guests, managing wait lists, and coordinating seating arrangements are critical to the role’s success. This position demands standing for the duration of shifts and some physical activity such as reaching, bending, and carrying light items. Job Requirements
- Be able to stand for the entirety of a scheduled shift
- Be able to reach, bend, and stoop frequently
- Be able to carry up to 15 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Prior restaurant experience is not required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Strong verbal communication skills towards guests and coworkers
- Superb reading and writing skills in order to create wait list and decipher wait time
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a high volume setting
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests
- Present menus to guests
- Create and organize wait lists
- Manage floor plan
- Answer phone and answer any questions regarding the menu and restaurant
- Manage the call-ahead or reservation list in tandem with a manager
- Interact with guests as they leave the restaurant in order to ensure positive dining experience
