Job Description

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews is a nationally recognized full-service restaurant chain known for its laid-back atmosphere, uniquely quirky vibe, and commitment to serving up burgers beyond yumagination. Founded with a passion for quality, fun, and hospitality, Red Robin has grown into a beloved dining destination. The company takes pride in fostering a workplace culture where team members feel a strong sense of belonging and are encouraged to bring their authentic personalities to work. This inclusive environment values both similarities and differences, creating a vibrant team that reflects the diverse communities it serves.

As a high-volume restaurant concept, Red Robin offers dynamic opportunities for growth and career advancement. Many of their managers began as hourly team members, highlighting the company’s dedication to internal promotion and development. Their mission is clear: Make it fresh. Make it fun. Make it memorable. And above all, make 'em smile.

The Host position at Red Robin is an integral part of their Front of House service team. This role is designed for individuals who thrive on delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive first impressions. The host is the welcoming face of the restaurant, responsible for greeting guests warmly, managing reservations, and seating guests efficiently and courteously. Beyond simply guiding guests to tables, the host ensures that each visitor feels valued and excited about their dining experience. Customer service skills are paramount, as this role sets the tone for the rest of the guest’s visit.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, energetic environment where every day brings a new opportunity to make someone’s day better. The host role is suitable for candidates aged 17 and older and offers a flexible work schedule to accommodate varying availability. Compensation ranges from $10.51 to $12.68 per hour, competitive within the hospitality industry for entry-level roles.

Red Robin goes beyond just hourly wages by offering a range of additional benefits and perks. Team members receive a 50% discount on Red Robin food and a 25% discount for their family members, helping to share the Red Robin experience with loved ones. Referral bonuses incentivize current team members to bring new talent into the family, creating a supportive work community. For those who stay and grow with Red Robin, additional compensation opportunities such as an employee stock purchase program become available after one year of service with sufficient weekly hours.

Health benefits including medical, vision, dental, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity coverage are offered to team members aged 18 and above, demonstrating Red Robin’s commitment to the well-being of their employees. Retirement benefits such as a 401k plan with company matching up to 4% of pay are available to qualifying team members over 21 years old who meet service and hourly thresholds. Paid time off accrues progressively with length of service and hours worked, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

Joining Red Robin as a Host means becoming part of a passionate team that values fun, generosity, and genuine hospitality. It is a gateway role that opens doors to numerous career paths within the company, including front-of-house leadership and management positions. Candidates who enjoy engaging with people, working collaboratively, and contributing to a memorable dining experience will find this role rewarding and fulfilling.
