As a Restaurant Host / Hostess / Greeter, you play a crucial role in shaping the first and lasting impression of our restaurant. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy engaging with people and providing outstanding hospitality. Although prior experience in hosting or greeting roles is preferred, it is not mandatory, opening the door for enthusiastic candidates eager to start or grow their careers in the hospitality industry. Your primary responsibility will be to warmly welcome guests, accommodate their special needs, and ensure they feel valued from the moment they step through our doors. You will manage the waitlist during busy times and provide essential assistance to servers to maintain smooth operations.

The job demands mobility and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and team members. You will also contribute to the welcoming atmosphere by maintaining cleanliness and updating the feature board and balloons, adding a festive touch to our hospitality. This position requires standing and moving for extended periods, so stamina and energy are important qualities for success in this role. Job Requirements

  • must be 16 years or older to be considered for this opportunity
  • must be able to stand and exert a well-paced mobility for periods up to four hours in length
  • must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees

Job Qualifications

  • reading, writing and verbal communication skills required
  • mobility required during the entire shift
  • ability to transport and carry objects such as highchair up to 15 pounds up to 15 times a shift
  • ability to wipe down tabletops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant

Job Duties

  • opens door for guests arriving and departing
  • accommodates any special needs of guests such as boosters, highchairs, disabilities
  • manages the wait list when the restaurant is full
  • provides guest assistance to servers as needed
  • maintains a clean and organized work area and completes cleaning as assigned
  • fills out the feature board and inflates balloons
