The Night Ambassador role at citizenM goes far beyond typical night shift duties. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys multitasking across various functions such as customer service, reception, food and beverage, concierge services, and more. As a Night Ambassador, you will greet guests with warmth even during the late hours, assist them with the self check-in kiosks, and provide exceptional service while preparing and serving meals, including perfect cappuccinos at 3:00 AM. Your responsibilities extend to kitchen duties, such as dishwashing, food handling, and cleaning, along with crafting signature cocktails and answering guests' questions about local attractions. The role requires you to take ownership during night operations, including managing reservations in the property management system, performing night audits, and being the point of contact for emergencies and special requests.

Job Requirements

  • A United States citizen or have appropriate authorization to work in the United States
  • Able to travel for training purposes
  • Able to work overnight shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Able to work weekends
  • Curious and smart thinker with attention to detail
  • Open and empathetic towards diverse people and perspectives
  • Commitment to creating positive change

Job Qualifications

  • Fluent in English
  • Passionate attitude with collaboration and optimism
  • Genuine interpersonal skills to treat all people as you would treat your best friends
  • Ability to multitask across various responsibilities
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn property management systems
  • Hospitality experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • Making sure everyone gets a warm welcome as soon as they walk in
  • Helping guests at the self check-in kiosks
  • Preparing and serving hot and cold breakfast and meals
  • Being a kitchen hero - dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, food handling and cooking
  • Brewing delicious coffee or mixing a signature cocktail
  • Being a secret concierge to the city, answering guests' questions about the best places to visit, eat, shop or party
  • Maintaining the living room and cleaning canteenM, arranging food displays for the following shift
  • Helping guests with any requests or demands regarding facilities
  • Handling reservations in the property management system (PMS), including the daily night audit
  • Holding the keys to the castle - responsible for operations during night shifts
  • Taking care of guests including in emergency situations
