Job Description

A warm and dynamic executive couple is seeking an experienced Hospitality Butler/House Manager to take full charge of their household operations, allowing them to enjoy more quality time together. This opportunity is perfect for a candidate with a high Martha Stewart factor—someone who loves animals and excels at managing the unseen details that keep a sophisticated home running smoothly. The couple’s lifestyle encompasses multiple properties, including six months in Palm Desert, as well as homes in the Hamptons and Delaware. This means the successful candidate will engage in seasonal cycles of activity, with the desert season being particularly busy and the summer months offering a more relaxed pace, though travel remains an essential aspect of the role year-round.

This role entails overseeing every aspect of a meticulously maintained household. You will be responsible for vendor coordination, ensuring all services and deliveries are seamless; handling serving duties for both formal and informal occasions; managing laundry and wardrobe care to maintain impeccable standards; and light cleaning to uphold the overall presentation of the home. Additionally, administrative duties and technical support tasks will be part of your responsibility, providing smooth and efficient operation behind the scenes. Importantly, the couple shares their lives with six beloved pets—two dogs and four cats—so a genuine love and experience with animals is critical as you will care for them when the couple is away.

As the Hospitality Butler/House Manager, you will also be involved in opening and preparing each home ahead of the owner's arrival, traveling between the various properties to maintain a guest-ready status throughout the year. Your responsibilities extend to hands-on maintenance and general household repairs, ensuring that everything functions perfectly. Running errands and providing personal assistance as needed will further support the couple’s lifestyle. You will also provide professional, discreet, and safe driving services for the principals, family, and their guests, representing the household with the utmost integrity and respect.

The ideal candidate is loyal, resourceful, and ready to tackle anything that arises—as the Alfred of this household management role. You will need excellent organizational skills, a calm demeanor, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to handle the dynamic nature of this position. The couple offers a competitive compensation package in the range of $120,000 to $150,000 per year, commensurate with your experience, as well as additional benefits.

This role requires dedication from Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with flexibility to accommodate the needs of the household and travel schedule. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment that demands excellence, discretion, and a passion for hospitality, this opportunity could be the perfect fit. Candidates interested in applying should submit a one-page letter of introduction along with a resume for consideration via the specified application portal. Qualified candidates will be contacted for further steps.
