This community hospital features a Level 3 trauma center equipped with a 15-bed medical and surgical census, a 5-bed intensive care unit (ICU), and 22 inpatient psychiatry beds. Additionally, it includes a specialized 10-bed Department of Correction (DOC) unit, which is among the few in southern New York, providing focused care for incarcerated patients. This Physician Assistant (PA) opportunity is perfect for individuals who seek a dynamic and supportive environment to advance their careers while making a meaningful impact on a diverse patient population. The role is designed to foster professional growth through collaboration with a close-knit local team comprising four physicians and two advanced practice providers (APPs). Candidates will work alongside one physician and one APP during day shifts, with coverage provided by a dedicated physician during nights. The hospital supports a healthy balance of patient care and professional development, encouraging active participation in medical staff meetings and committees that emphasize shared decision-making.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $165,000 annually and provides flexibility in scheduling to accommodate personal and professional commitments. New graduates, residents, and fellows are warmly welcomed to apply, making this an ideal role for those at different stages of their PA careers.
