The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is essential in upholding the company’s commitment to exceptional service. This position involves welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism, providing assistance with vehicle parking and retrieval in a safe and timely manner, and supporting guests with luggage handling when applicable. The associate serves as a friendly and knowledgeable representative of the company, helping guests navigate parking procedures, offering directions, facilitating transportation options such as taxis, and providing information about local attractions and facility amenities. This role demands a high level of interpersonal skills, physical stamina, and attention to detail as it includes driving vehicles slowly and cautiously, handling guest inquiries, maintaining accurate records like claim checks and damage surveys, and properly collecting payments. Towne Park offers competitive hourly pay starting at $11.50 plus tips ranging from $4 to $7 per hour. The position requires availability for various shifts, including AM and PM schedules on weekdays and open availability on weekends.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid driver's license for the state you are applying to work or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English language
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
  • ability to perform these operations using units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using a professional and friendly demeanor and guest last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities of the facility and main attractions in the area
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from guests before issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
