This role is for a Hospital Sales Specialist partnering with CSL Behring, a global leader in biotherapeutics known for producing medicines that save and improve lives worldwide. The position involves managing all facets of territory business development within hospital settings. You will be responsible for cultivating strong, strategic relationships with key hospital accounts including healthcare professionals, decision-makers, pharmacists, infusion suites, and executive-level stakeholders. The role demands a robust understanding of clinical and disease-specific knowledge, enabling candidates to navigate the complex U.S. hospital market effectively. Your efforts will support the expansion of new accounts as well as the growth and retention of existing relationships. Close collaboration is essential with various internal stakeholders such as Regional Sales Managers, marketing professionals, medical affairs, healthcare system partners, and operations to ensure alignment on integrated strategic plans.

Beyond sales growth, you will actively participate in driving education and awareness around critical treatment portfolios and support patient education initiatives as needed, demonstrating an expert level of clinical knowledge combined with superior business acumen. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or life sciences
  • Five plus years’ hospital or institutional sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven documented sales performance achievements
  • Experience working with patient groups, hospital pharmacies, and distributors preferred
  • Ability to manage and develop a large geographic territory
  • Strong clinical and disease-state knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with internal cross-functional teams

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or life sciences
  • 5+ years’ hospital/institutional sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated history of documented achievement of sales performance
  • Experience with patient groups, hospital pharmacies, and distributors is a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate effective management of a large geography
  • Strong clinical and disease state knowledge
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, medical affairs, and healthcare operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in territory business planning and account management

Job Duties

  • Develop new accounts and the growth of existing accounts through solid customer relationships, communication of technical product and disease state information, and effective territory management skills
  • Implement key marketing programs to increase the market share of key promoted products
  • Implement CSL Behring's patient-focused hospital selling model with effective opening, probing, listening, and closing skills on customer calls
  • Maintain proper call frequency with assigned targets and update as needed to ensure time is aligned with a current product focus
  • Develop and implement territory business plans consistent with corporate direction designed to achieve/exceed territory sales targets
  • Use appropriate resources to create a compelling and logical rationale for the value of promoted products during informed discussions with customers, knowing how to compare, contrast, and position CSL Behring's brand(s) versus competitor products
  • Review and evaluate patterns for products purchased and prescribed (outpatient vs in-patient infusion, as part of hospital contract, etc.)
  • Comprehend complex account interdependencies to proactively develop and execute short- and long-term account plans in collaboration with the account team and supervisor
  • Ensure a consistent customer experience by effectively communicating and collaborating with Associate Sales Director, Hospital Accounts, Corporate Account Managers, Field Reimbursement Managers, Medical Science Liaison, and more
