The role of Housekeeper I within UnityPoint Health's Environmental Services department is integral to maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment, specifically on the 2nd shift from 3pm to 11:30pm with weekend rotations. This temporary position offers up to 32 hours per week and provides an opportunity for increased hours after 90 days based on performance, attendance, and business needs. The Housekeeper is responsible for performing scheduled cleaning tasks, responding promptly to spills and emergencies, and adhering to all Medicare, Medicaid, and infection control standards to promote patient safety and hospital compliance. This position requires the completion of mandatory training and adherence to vaccination protocols in line with UnityPoint Health's commitment to health and safety. Additionally, the Housekeeper supports emergency operations and plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment through professional and courteous interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
