This open position is for a Part-Time Security Receptionist based in San Francisco, CA, offering a competitive wage of $27.50 per hour. The role operates Monday through Friday, on the swing shift, and provides employees with complimentary lunch and snacks on-site. The Security Receptionist will play a critical role in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment along the Embarcadero corridor, interacting daily with tenants, employees, visitors, and management teams. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in the security or customer service fields and must hold an active California State Guard Card training and licensing. This role calls for a strong presence combined with excellent interpersonal skills and customer service capabilities.
The Security Receptionist will be responsible for delivering professional assistance, including offering directions, escorts, and general support while ensuring that property rules are enforced respectfully. Effective communication is essential, as the role requires maintaining clear radio contact with supervisors, dispatch, fellow officers, and external agencies such as Port of San Francisco security, local law enforcement, and building management. The Security Receptionist will also support various scheduled events, tenant functions, and periods of increased foot traffic, providing crowd awareness and perimeter monitoring.
The position emphasizes the importance of report writing, conflict de-escalation, and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments and procedures. Candidates should be comfortable utilizing security systems, radios, and incident reporting tools, demonstrating excellent computer skills along with strong grammar and punctuation abilities.

Job Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- high school diploma or equivalent
- must have excellent customer service skills and a strong command presence
- mandatory California Guard Card
- CPR certification is desirable
- prior EMT experience is highly desirable
- military and/or law enforcement backgrounds are encouraged to apply

Job Duties
- Provide professional assistance to tenants, employees, visitors
- offer directions, escorts, and general support while enforcing property rules respectfully
