Job Description

Hilton Garden Inn San Jose, located within walking distance of the McCarthy Ranch shopping center in Milpitas, California, is a premier hotel offering guests a blend of comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. This completely nonsmoking hotel features a range of amenities including free wireless internet access, an outdoor pool and hot tub, a fitness center, and a 24-hour business center, making it an ideal destination for both business and leisure travelers. Guests can enjoy breakfast at the on-site Great American Grill and have access to a 24-hour convenience store offering meal items for their in-room microwave and mini-refrigerator, enhancing their stay with added flexibility and ease.

We are looking to hire a Front Desk Supervisor who will be the cornerstone of our hospitality team, leading efforts to ensure every guest feels genuinely welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. This role is essential to maintaining the high standard of guest service that Hilton Garden Inn is known for. The Front Desk Supervisor will oversee front desk operations with energy and enthusiasm, setting the tone for a customer experience that is not only efficient but memorable and enjoyable. The position requires a professional who can manage check-ins, handle VIP requests, resolve issues with poise, and motivate a team to deliver outstanding service consistently. This role demands leadership skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to upholding hotel standards and safety protocols.

As the Front Desk Supervisor, you will be responsible for guiding and training front desk associates, ensuring smooth daily operations, and strategically managing room rates and promotions to maximize hotel revenue while offering guests excellent value. Your ability to create a welcoming atmosphere, address guest concerns promptly, and foster effective communication within your team will be paramount to success. Candidates should bring to the table a minimum of 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in hotel or related fields, with prior supervisory experience being highly preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and additional college coursework in related fields will be advantageous. The role also requires compliance with necessary certifications, including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid, supporting a safe and compliant work environment.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive benefits package after an initial waiting period. Benefits include daily pay options, medical, dental, and vision coverage, income protection through short-term and long-term disability insurance, term life and AD&D insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan, ensuring our team members are supported both professionally and personally. Joining Hilton Garden Inn San Jose not only means becoming part of a reputable hospitality brand but also the opportunity to grow your career in a vibrant and supportive work setting where your efforts truly impact the guest experience.
