Job Description

Takkion is a leading company in the renewable energy transportation sector, specializing in the safe and efficient delivery of oversized and overweight loads nationwide. As the U.S. transitions towards sustainable energy sources, Takkion plays a critical role in supporting the infrastructure that powers this future, particularly in the wind energy construction industry. Known for its commitment to safety, professionalism, and employee support, Takkion provides a work environment that values trust, respect, and diversity. The company fosters a culture where every team member’s contribution is recognized and where growth and development opportunities are abundant within a fast-growing industry. Takkion offers its employees competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and the stability that comes with a steady workload, making it an employer of choice among heavy haul drivers.

The role of a Heavy Haul Driver (CDL-A) at Takkion involves the transportation of specialized and oversized freight using modern equipment such as Peterbilt and Kenworth trucks, along with trailers like RGN and lowboys. The driver is a crucial part of the logistics chain in renewable energy projects, ensuring that critical components and machinery reach their destination safely and on time. This full-time position offers an exceptional earning potential ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, reflecting the specialized skills and responsibility involved. Drivers join a team that provides experienced dispatch, logistics, and safety support to help navigate complex routes and regulatory requirements. The company places a strong emphasis on rewarding professionalism and safe performance rather than just miles driven, encouraging drivers to maintain high safety standards and excellent customer service.

Beyond competitive pay, drivers benefit from a comprehensive package including medical, dental, and vision insurance with low costs, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, and employer-paid life and disability insurance. Takkion also offers an Employee Assistance Program, paid orientation, ongoing training, and modern, well-maintained equipment. For drivers passionate about a career that contributes to renewable energy development, Takkion represents a unique opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven company offering not just a job but a meaningful career path with opportunities for advancement and recognition within a supportive and inclusive work culture.
