The Biometric Health Screener role at Health Advocate is a critical position responsible for administering biometric health screenings or blood draw screenings at clients' onsite work locations. This role is designed for healthcare professionals with valid certifications such as EMT, Paramedic, Phlebotomist, Medical Assistant, LPN/LVN, RN, or BSN and with at least one year of clinical experience. The position involves performing fingerstick or venipuncture blood collections, manual blood pressure measurements, and assessments of height, weight, BMI, and waist circumference. Accuracy and confidentiality are paramount, as all patient health information (PHI) must be documented securely and discreetly.
Beyond technical skills, this role requires excellent communication abilities to counsel members on health screening results and recommend improvement strategies, creating a positive and efficient experience for each individual screened. The Biometric Health Screener will also manage event setup and cleanup, keeping availability records current in the provider portal, and escalate issues to the onsite coordinator as needed. Since the role requires travel to various client worksites—with 75% local travel and up to 25% longer travel—it demands flexibility, good physical stamina for standing and bending, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
This is a part-time, per diem position offering hourly pay rates between $23.00 and $34.00, which is competitive within the healthcare screening industry. Health Advocate values diversity, equal opportunity, and inclusion in its workforce, providing employees with ample training, supportive supervisors, and a culture that fosters internal promotion and career advancement. Benefits include a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, flexible scheduling, referral programs, and travel reimbursement, all contributing to a well-rounded and supportive work environment. Joining Health Advocate means becoming part of an award-winning team dedicated to making healthcare easier and more accessible for members while empowering employees to grow professionally in a meaningful and impactful industry.
