Currently, Datavant is seeking candidates for an entry-level position focused on processing release of information (ROI), specifically medical record requests. This onsite role is located in Appleton, Wisconsin, and is full-time with standard business hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. The position involves ensuring that all medical record requests are handled promptly and efficiently, maintaining the utmost accuracy, quality, and compliance with healthcare privacy laws and company policies.

The role's primary responsibility is managing the release of medical information to authorized individuals while rigorously safeguarding patient privacy and adhering to HIPAA regulations. The associate will be tasked with front desk duties, processing requests, and delivering excellent customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch their career in healthcare administration or medical records management. Candidates with strong clerical and customer service skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel, and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment will excel in this role.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to commute between locations as needed
  • Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Comfortable using phones, fax machine, printers, and other general office equipment regularly
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Detail and quality oriented for accurate and compliant medical records
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision responding to changing priorities and role needs
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
  • Able to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with company and facility policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and security with all privileged information
  • Maintain working knowledge of company and facility software
  • Adhere to the company's and customer facilities code of conduct and policies
  • Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and/or fluctuating volumes
  • Assist with additional work duties or responsibilities as evident or required
  • Consistent application of medical privacy regulations to guard against unauthorized disclosure
