The role of PRN Health Center Concierge at Premise Health located in Celebration, FL, offers a unique opportunity to be part of a team that delivers top-tier, white-glove customer service in a fast-paced medical office environment. This position operates on a PRN (pro re nata or as-needed) basis, providing flexibility in schedules with shifts alternating between early morning and late evening hours, including weekend availability and at least one holiday duty annually. Fluency in Spanish or Haitian Creole is highly valued for this role to meet the diverse needs of patients.

A Health Center Concierge in this role will be the first point of contact for patients, delivering a warm, professional, and caring approach while assisting with registration, managing patient expectations regarding wait times, and navigating the health center. This role requires strong organizational, time management, and communication skills to coordinate patient care effectively. The concierge also liaises with insurance companies, other healthcare providers, and specialists to ensure smooth referrals, eligibility verification, and benefits coordination. Responsibilities extend to managing patient billing inquiries and helping resolve any discrepancies in out-of-pocket expenses or claim charges.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior medical office experience preferred
  • Willingness to work PRN schedule with rotating shifts and weekends
  • Ability to work at least one holiday per year
  • Computer savvy with good organizational skills
  • Fluency in Spanish or Haitian Creole preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet patients and assist through the registration process
  • Extend a warm and caring approach respecting patient diversity
  • Keep patients informed of wait times and manage expectations
  • Help patients navigate the health center and escort as needed
  • Maintain health center standards and a welcoming appearance
  • Research and resolve outstanding out-of-pocket expenses and billing errors
  • Resolve eligibility problems, claim charges, and claim denials
  • Clarify if services are condition specific or preventive
  • Coordinate benefits information flow among dental, medical, and healthcare providers
  • Assure correct application of specialist provider network status
  • Coordinate referrals through insurance and physician offices
  • Facilitate transfer of medical records and lab results
  • Assist with arranging durable medical equipment post-discharge
  • Review test results with physicians for diagnosis confirmation
  • Arrange diagnostic tests and coordinate care for complicated medical issues
  • Foster communications and coordinate benefits with insurance companies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
