The Health Center Concierge role at Premise Health, based in Celebration, FL, is a full-time position centered on delivering top-tier, white-glove customer service within a fast-paced medical office setting. As a vital part of the patient care team, the Concierge greets patients warmly, manages patient flow, and supports the registration process to ensure an efficient and welcoming experience. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations. Fluency in Spanish or Haitian Creole is highly valued, enhancing the ability to serve a broader community.

The Concierge coordinates patient care by assisting with referrals, facilitating the transfer of medical records, resolving insurance issues such as eligibility and claim denials, and guiding patients through their healthcare journey. The role involves managing communications between various healthcare providers and insurance companies to streamline benefits and care coordination. The work schedule includes 10-hour shifts with a 4-day workweek, rotating shifts, weekend and holiday rotations, supporting a balanced work-life approach.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work 10-hour shifts and rotate between two shifts
  • Willingness to participate in weekend and holiday rotations
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Commitment to patient-centered care
  • Fluent in Spanish or Haitian Creole preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in medical office or healthcare setting preferred

Job Duties

  • Greets patients with a smile and assists them through the registration process
  • Extends a warm and caring approach to all patients respecting diversity
  • Keeps patients informed of wait times and manages visit expectations
  • Helps patients navigate the health center and escorts patients as needed
  • Ensures health centers uphold Premise brand standards by posting only branded and approved materials and maintaining a welcoming appearance
  • Researches patients' outstanding out of pocket expenses and resolves errors
  • Resolves eligibility problems, incorrect claim charges, and claim denials
  • Coordinates benefits information flow between dental, medical, and other healthcare providers
  • Coordinates referrals for patients through insurance and physician offices or specialists
  • Facilitates transfer of medical records and lab results
  • May assist in arranging durable medical equipment following hospital discharge
  • Facilitates reviewing test results with another physician for diagnosis confirmation
  • Coordinates and arranges diagnostic tests
  • Coordinates care for patients with complicated medical issues
  • Fosters communication and coordinates benefits with insurance companies to create a smooth patient-centered experience
  • Performs other duties as assigned
