Job Description
The Goldton at Jones Farm is a well-established community-focused dining establishment dedicated to providing high-quality food and an enjoyable culinary experience for its patrons. Known for its warm and inviting atmosphere, The Goldton at Jones Farm is committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment for both guests and staff. As a part of this mission, the establishment emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and food safety to ensure every dish served meets their high standards. The Goldton at Jones Farm operates with a focus on community life, delivering an alternative to late-night shifts and extended working hours that are common in many kitchens. This focus provides employees with a balanced work-life schedule while still working within a dynamic and fulfilling setting.
The role available currently is for a Full-Time Cook position that offers great hours and a structured work schedule. One exciting aspect of this opportunity is that employees will need to be available to work rotating weekends, ensuring coverage during the busier parts of the week while maintaining reasonable shifts that avoid excessively late hours. The position involves key responsibilities such as batch cooking, prep work, restocking items, unloading delivery trucks, preparing cook stations, cleaning appliances and machines, as well as maintaining sanitation and safe food preparation practices. Additionally, this role requires the ability to supervise others and work independently with minimal supervision. Because the cook will also be involved in food ordering and menu tasks, candidates will have the chance to engage in both operational and creative aspects of kitchen management.
The Full-Time Cook will play a critical role in maintaining the smooth functioning of the kitchen by preparing dining areas and kitchen stations for each shift through cleaning and restocking. They will also be responsible for keeping kitchen equipment such as coffee makers, pots, pans, and mixers clean and in order. Maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness including sweeping, mopping, and taking out the trash is part of the daily duties to ensure a hygienic environment. Furthermore, the cook must be able to assist the wider restaurant team with tasks that arise, report any kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes promptly, and adhere strongly to sanitation protocols. This is a hands-on role that requires versatility and a proactive approach, making it ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced culinary setting and who take pride in maintaining high standards. The Goldton at Jones Farm offers competitive pay for this role, reflecting the importance of the position in delivering excellent service and food quality. Joining this team means becoming part of a community-oriented business where contributions are valued and the opportunity for professional growth is present. This position provides a balanced work environment, excellent scheduling, and a chance to practice culinary skills in a supportive and well-respected establishment.
