Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 3 years experience working in a professional kitchen
- experience managing a kitchen or culinary team preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- knowledge of state and federal food safety regulations
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Experience managing a high volume kitchen a plus
- experience in working multiple stations in a high volume kitchen
- strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple challenges effectively
- capable of scheduling, ordering, inventory management, prep work, and line cooking
- strong work ethic and leadership abilities
- knowledge of kitchen sanitation standards and food safety regulations
- excellent communication and team-building skills
Job Duties
- Lead, schedule, and supervise kitchen personnel, assisting in hiring and staff management
- ensure staff education on food preparation, daily specials, and emphasize the importance of consistency across all restaurant staff
- develop, monitor, and maintain a kitchen sanitation program that complies with all state and federal kitchen standards and regulations
- maintain high quality food standards through supervision of production, sanitation, and food service
- assist in inventory control, maintaining minimum and maximum par levels, and place daily orders as needed
- perform prep work and work the line during service hours to ensure smooth and efficient food service operations
- ensure all food production, storage, and service areas comply with local, state, and federal regulations
- communicate effectively with other managers about food quality and consistency during shift
- communicate respectfully and efficiently with front of house staff during shift and before shift about specials, 86'd items etc
