Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 3 years experience working in a professional kitchen
  • experience managing a kitchen or culinary team preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • knowledge of state and federal food safety regulations
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Experience managing a high volume kitchen a plus
  • experience in working multiple stations in a high volume kitchen
  • strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple challenges effectively
  • capable of scheduling, ordering, inventory management, prep work, and line cooking
  • strong work ethic and leadership abilities
  • knowledge of kitchen sanitation standards and food safety regulations
  • excellent communication and team-building skills

Job Duties

  • Lead, schedule, and supervise kitchen personnel, assisting in hiring and staff management
  • ensure staff education on food preparation, daily specials, and emphasize the importance of consistency across all restaurant staff
  • develop, monitor, and maintain a kitchen sanitation program that complies with all state and federal kitchen standards and regulations
  • maintain high quality food standards through supervision of production, sanitation, and food service
  • assist in inventory control, maintaining minimum and maximum par levels, and place daily orders as needed
  • perform prep work and work the line during service hours to ensure smooth and efficient food service operations
  • ensure all food production, storage, and service areas comply with local, state, and federal regulations
  • communicate effectively with other managers about food quality and consistency during shift
  • communicate respectfully and efficiently with front of house staff during shift and before shift about specials, 86'd items etc
