Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
  • 3+ years culinary experience
  • Valid local and/or state Food Handler permits or ability to obtain
  • Passion for hospitality
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to train and mentor others

Job Duties

  • Support your team in the preparation of all ingredients and food products to fulfill prep lists, par levels, and recipe standards
  • Utilize various preparation and cooking methods to ensure the quick, precise creation of menu items in accordance with JOEY recipes including washing, chopping, cutting, grilling, roasting, sautéing, and frying
  • Maintain prep and cooking areas in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner
  • Ensure clean, organized, and maintained refrigerators, cooler drawers, ovens, preparation, and dry storage areas
  • Train partners on the instructions and guidelines for safe usage of kitchen equipment and cleaning compounds and report equipment problems immediately
  • Fulfill recruitment needs, impact positive candidate experiences, and select and retain the team
  • Support training and development of technical knowledge and world-class execution of JOEY tasks and standards
  • Communicate daily focus and feedback to partners
  • Manage in-store budgets, food costs, and labor
  • Impact the delivery of iconic hospitality and coach the kitchen team to fulfill experience standards
  • Follow all food service and handling safety precautions and procedures
