Job Description

Upper Crust Food Service is a distinguished food service company dedicated to serving Sororities and Fraternities across the nation. Renowned for its unwavering commitment to freshness, quality, variety, and exceptional customer service, Upper Crust Food Service has carved a unique niche in the hospitality industry. Founded with a vision to address a common challenge faced by many Fraternity and Sorority houses—lack of consistency and professionalism in the kitchen—the company has grown into a trusted provider of fresh, healthy, from-scratch meals.

The company emphasizes personalized service and culinary excellence, preparing tens of thousands of meals weekly for students nationwide. This commitment to quality and consistency, combined with strong customer relationships, sets Upper Crust Food Service apart in the competitive food service landscape. The company prides itself on fostering a supportive work environment that offers chefs a unique lifestyle with minimal late nights and weekend hours, a rare benefit in the hospitality sector.

Upper Crust Food Service is currently seeking a Head Chef to join their team, a pivotal role that involves planning, creating, and executing fresh weekly menus tailored to client needs and management input. The Head Chef will lead all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation are consistently upheld. This role demands a passion for culinary arts, leadership skills, and the ability to maintain clear and open communication with both management and customers.

As a Head Chef at Upper Crust Food Service, you will be the cornerstone in delivering delicious and innovative meals, overseeing kitchen staff, managing supplies and inventory, and maintaining compliance with food safety regulations. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and pet insurance, paid vacations, holiday time off, and a 401K plan with company matching. It is an ideal opportunity for classically trained chefs driven by a love for food and a desire to create exceptional dining experiences in a professional and supportive environment.

This role promises a highly rewarding career with room for personal and professional growth. Candidates with a strong culinary background and leadership abilities who thrive in high-volume food production or catering environments are encouraged to apply immediately. Upper Crust Food Service values diversity and inclusion and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals.
