Backed by Callaway Golf and Danny Meyer’s Enlightened Hospitality Investments, Five Iron Golf has established itself as a leader in the entertainment and hospitality industry. With 35 locations currently open and over 50 more in development worldwide, the company is rapidly expanding while maintaining a strong dedication to innovation, inclusivity, and community connection. The brand offers a unique blend of sports bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues designed to provide exceptional experiences for guests of all ages and interests. Each location is thoughtfully designed to merge high-quality culinary offerings with social and recreational activities, making Five Iron Golf a popular destination for both casual outings and special events.
The role of Head Chef at Five Iron Golf is a critical leadership position focused on delivering outstanding food experiences and maintaining operational excellence within the kitchen team. This role requires an experienced culinary professional who can lead, mentor, and build a skilled and motivated kitchen staff committed to culinary excellence and guest satisfaction. The Head Chef will play a key role in menu development, ensuring that offerings are not only high-value and high-quality but also reflect current trends and meet the needs of diverse event spaces. The position demands robust operational management skills to oversee inventory, purchasing, scheduling, and compliance with food safety standards, ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently and within budget.
In addition to day-to-day kitchen management, the Head Chef is expected to collaborate closely with the General Manager - Social and other leadership members to align culinary operations with overall business goals. This includes managing food and labor costs, supporting the successful execution of events, and continuously enhancing the menu to reflect customer preferences and brand identity. Creativity is highly valued, with the Head Chef responsible for recipe development, pairing food with beverage programs, and innovating culinary offerings particularly tailored to events ranging from corporate functions to private parties.
The ideal Head Chef at Five Iron Golf will foster a positive and collaborative kitchen culture emphasizing accountability, professionalism, and hospitality. The role underscores the importance of great communication skills, staff development, and maintaining high standards in food preparation and presentation. The Head Chef also acts as a brand ambassador, representing Five Iron Golf at industry events and within the broader community to promote the company’s vision and commitment to excellence.
This is a full-time, exempt position with a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year. The work schedule includes nights and weekends, reflecting the operational needs of the entertainment venues. Additionally, Five Iron Golf offers comprehensive benefits for full-time employees, including health, dental, and vision insurance, long and short-term disability coverage, accident and critical illness insurance, a 401(k) plan, and complimentary meals during shifts. The company prioritizes creating an inclusive work environment and is committed to equal employment opportunities for all employees, welcoming diversity and providing reasonable accommodations as required. Overall, this role is an excellent opportunity for a passionate culinary leader seeking to contribute to a growing brand where innovation, guest experience, and teamwork are central values.
