Job Description
Upper Crust Food Service is a premier food service company dedicated to serving the Greek life community, particularly sororities and fraternities across the United States. Known for our commitment to freshness, quality, variety, and exceptional customer service, we have successfully addressed a common issue faced by many fraternity and sorority houses — the lack of consistency and professionalism in their kitchens. Since our founding, we have stayed true to our roots by emphasizing great food, personal service, and a professional kitchen environment. Our chefs prepare tens of thousands of meals weekly, ensuring that students have access to delicious, fresh, and healthy food options within their Greek organizations.
At Upper Crust Food Service, we believe that the people behind the food are just as important as the food itself. As a Head Chef with us, you will play a vital role in maintaining and elevating the high standards our customers expect. This is a unique opportunity to work in a hospitality environment that values work-life balance, with minimal late nights and weekend hours, making it an attractive choice for culinary professionals seeking consistency and a supportive culture.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating, planning, and executing fresh, from scratch weekly menus that reflect the tastes and preferences of each Greek life chapter you serve. Collaboration with clients and management is crucial, as is your ability to manage all kitchen operations professionally. Maintaining top-tier sanitation standards, upholding company core values, and fostering excellent communication both within your team and with customers are all essential components of successful performance in this position.
We seek classically trained chefs who are passionate about food and driven by creativity. You will lead kitchen staff, manage scheduling and performance assessments, oversee kitchen sanitation, and ensure timely food preparation. Regular communication with management and customers via phone, email, and text is part of your daily routine to ensure smooth operations. This role also involves coordinating special event catering as needed, requiring flexibility and excellent organizational skills.
Upper Crust Food Service offers a competitive employment package that includes paid vacation, time off for most holidays, a company-matched 401K plan, and comprehensive health, dental, vision, and pet insurance. Our working environment supports professional growth, a positive team culture, and a commitment to excellence.
If you are excited about using your culinary skills to create outstanding from-scratch meals and enjoy the rewarding experience of making people happy every day, then this opportunity is for you. Apply now to join a team that values your expertise and provides a fulfilling career with a unique lifestyle in the culinary field.
