Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience as an executive chef
  • Valid food handler's permit
  • ServeSafe certification

  • At least 3 years of experience as an executive chef with demonstrated success in managing kitchen staff and controlling costs
  • Valid food handler's permit
  • ServeSafe certification
  • College degree in culinary arts or a related field preferred
  • Additional culinary certifications preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen operations and food cost management

Job Duties

  • Design meals and create innovative menus to cater to guest preferences and event needs
  • Collaborate with the F&B Director and General Manager to price menu items appropriately
  • Utilize food and beverage point-of-sale systems for accurate menu item analysis
  • Communicate effectively with team members for efficient menu execution
  • Ensure menu visibility and clarity for all kitchen staff, promoting consistency in production
  • Oversee cooking methods, portion sizes, and presentation to meet quality standards
  • Regularly taste dishes to ensure consistency and quality
  • Manage food production levels, especially during peak times
  • Supervise procurement processes for food supplies and kitchen equipment and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Control food and labor costs while adhering to budgetary guidelines
  • Participate in inventory management with the Director of Food & Beverage
  • Ensure kitchen profitability by setting competitive prices for food items
  • Schedule and manage payroll for kitchen staff, adjusting as necessary
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train kitchen personnel, supporting their career growth
  • Implement and oversee adherence to company policies regarding workplace safety and employee conduct
  • Engage with members, solicit feedback, and represent the Club positively in the community
  • Collaborate with the F&B Director and Event Sales Director for banquet and event planning
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • Analyze and improve workplace practices for a safer work environment
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and manage kitchen transaction tracking efficiently
