Job Description

Upper Crust Food Service is a renowned catering company specializing in providing fresh, high-quality food services primarily to Sororities and Fraternities across the United States. Established with a clear vision to address the challenges faced by Greek life houses—namely inconsistency and lack of professionalism in kitchen operations—Upper Crust Food Service has carved a dependable niche within the hospitality industry. The company prides itself on exceptional customer service, freshness, and a diverse menu offering, serving tens of thousands of meals each week to students nationwide. This dedication to quality and service excellence stems from a commitment to its core values that emphasize professionalism, consistency, and culinary creativity.

The company offers a fast-paced yet balanced work environment for culinary professionals who value a lifestyle with minimal late nights and weekend hours. Upper Crust Food Service seeks passionate, classically trained chefs who thrive on crafting fresh, from-scratch menus tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each client. The current opening for a Head Chef is pivotal in continuing the upper crust tradition of delivering outstanding food experiences. The Head Chef is entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing all food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen staff management. This role requires collaborating closely with the client chapters and management to ensure each meal is meticulously designed and executed with excellence.

In this leadership role, the Head Chef will prioritize maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation in accordance with state and local regulations. Communication is critical, as the Head Chef will regularly engage with management and clients through various channels to ensure seamless service delivery. Those who join Upper Crust Food Service enjoy comprehensive benefits including paid vacations, competitive 401K with company match, and health-related insurances covering dental, vision, and even pets. The company is dedicated to fostering a work culture that promotes professionalism, positive attitudes, and team collaboration while supporting the personal growth and well-being of its staff.

This position calls for a meticulous, dynamic culinary leader who is motivated by a passion for food and excellence. The Head Chef will play a vital role in shaping the menu offerings, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring that every meal not only meets but exceeds the clients’ expectations. This is a highly competitive and rewarding role for those driven to make a tangible impact in the hospitality field with a company that values its people and their talents.
