Job Description

Ruan is a well-established transportation and logistics company with over 90 years of experience in the industry, known for its commitment to putting people first and maintaining a strong focus on safety. Headquartered in the United States, Ruan provides a range of transportation services, including dedicated contract carriage, dry van freight hauling, and specialized fleet services. The company prides itself on a culture that values the contributions of its employees and offers them competitive pay and benefits to support their professional growth and personal well-being.

Ruan is currently seeking Class A CDL drivers to join their dedicated team based in Chicago, Illinois. These drivers will be responsible for hauling auto parts using dry van trailers for one of Ruan's dedicated customers. This role is designed for professionals who want to enjoy a home-daily overnight schedule, which promotes work-life balance, with multiple scheduling options such as Sunday-Thursday, Monday-Friday, Tuesday-Saturday, or various split schedules. Drivers typically work five days a week, have two consecutive days off, and average about 47 hours weekly.

The compensation plan is competitive and activity-based, paying drivers $0.698 per mile plus $25 per stop. Many drivers in this position are earning approximately $80,000 annually. Ruan's late-model Freightliner daycabs are new, automatic vehicles equipped for safety and efficiency. The drivers are expected to perform driver unloads at each stop using a lift gate and electric pallet jack, handling multi-stop and shuttle deliveries while ensuring the safe and timely transport of goods.

This position requires the driver to have hazmat certification, which emphasizes Ruan's focus on safety and compliance with regulations. In addition to a rewarding salary and a manageable schedule, Ruan offers an extensive benefits package. Employees gain access to health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with prescription drug coverage, paid time off, earned vacation, holiday pay, and 401(k) matching. Ruan’s benefits package reflects its dedication to supporting the long-term health and financial security of its employees.

Joining Ruan not only means becoming part of a century-strong company with a dedication to safety and diversity but also means working in an environment where drivers are respected and supported. If you meet the qualifications and seek a stable, satisfying driving career with excellent pay, benefits, and a supportive work culture, Ruan offers a compelling opportunity to advance your professional journey.
