The Restaurant Shift Leader role is a vital position within Boddie-Noell Enterprises, consisting of supervisory responsibilities that ensure each shift meets or exceeds company standards. The Shift Leader acts as the primary operator of the restaurant in the absence of the Senior or General Manager, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining a harmonious work environment, and striving for sale growth through quality, service, and cleanliness. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one year of shift management experience
  • ability to lead and train employees effectively
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to operate restaurant systems and manage cash handling
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • basic math and inventory management skills

Job Duties

  • Supervise shifts and maintain company standards for quality, service, and cleanliness
  • train and develop crew under management direction
  • maintain a cooperative and harmonious working relationship with management and crew
  • assist with crew member duties as needed
  • conduct crew meetings prior to shifts to discuss operations, promotions, safety, training, etc.
  • manage labor cost to meet company standards
  • control inventory to meet GAP standards
  • maintain reports and records in compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • maintain building and equipment with proper procedures
  • manage all cash responsibilities including bank deposits and enforce cash procedures
  • ensure personal appearance meets company standards
  • enforce HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies to provide a safe environment
  • perform other tasks as assigned by management and represent the company professionally at all times
