This historic hotel is recognized for its architectural significance and continues to be a premier destination offering guests a unique blend of striking design, contemporary art, music, fashion, and technology. Fontainebleau Miami Beach is not just a hotel but a vibrant stage where every guest is invited to play their part by engaging in world-class dining, shopping, spa experiences, social gatherings, or simply relaxing in an atmosphere tailored to create the perfect day.
The Resort takes pride in redefining luxury hospitality by combining superior service with an innovative and artistic ambiance that inspires guests and staff alike. The mission at Fontainebleau is to deliver excellence and ensure each visitor leaves with unforgettable memories, in part by creating the perfect setting where every element aligns to uplift the guest experience. This philosophy extends beyond guests to include the dedicated team that works behind the scenes to maintain these high standards.
The role of Assistant Sommelier at Fontainebleau Miami Beach is a vital position within the food and beverage team, deeply involved in crafting the resort's distinguished wine service program. The Assistant Sommelier works closely with the head Sommelier to coordinate and develop the resort's wine lists and product selections, balancing profitability with maintaining high-quality standards and exceptional guest satisfaction. This position requires a proactive approach to overseeing daily beverage service operations, ensuring that wines offered meet both the resort's rigorous quality benchmarks and the taste preferences of an upscale clientele.
The Assistant Sommelier is responsible for managing wine inventories, monitoring cost controls, and supporting bar service operations. They play a critical role in training and coaching the beverage service team, scheduling labor, and addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally. Flexibility and leadership are essential as the individual may assume full Sommelier responsibilities in the absence of the senior Sommelier, maintaining continuity and excellence in guest service.
This position offers the opportunity to work in one of Miami Beach's most prestigious settings, alongside a diverse and passionate team dedicated to hospitality excellence. Candidates will experience an environment that fosters professional growth and creativity while contributing to a world-renowned hospitality landmark. Working at Fontainebleau means joining a community where art, culture, and luxury merge seamlessly to create spectacular moments for all who visit or work there.
