Job Description
Pyramid Global Hospitality is a prominent hospitality management company renowned for its extensive portfolio of over 200 hotels and resorts, employing more than 18,000 associates across the United States, the Caribbean, and Europe. The company operates through various distinctive platforms, including Benchmark Resorts & Hotels, which features a collection of unique independent properties; Axiom Hospitality, focused on managing European hotels; and PYRAMIDWORKS, which offers integrated workplace and facilities services. With corporate offices strategically located in Boston, The Woodlands, Texas, and London, Pyramid merges global scale with a personalized, hands-on approach. The company emphasizes delivering exceptional service, operational excellence, and fostering long-term partnerships, making it a leader in the hospitality industry.
Pyramid Global Hospitality values its associates and places them at the core of its operations. The company is committed to creating a supportive and empowering work environment where employees are respected and encouraged to advance their careers. Team members at Pyramid benefit from opportunities to work closely with experienced leaders, undertake meaningful stretch assignments, and gain exposure to a diverse range of properties, brands, and markets. Whether new professionals kick-starting their hospitality journey or seasoned experts bringing years of experience, Pyramid offers numerous chances for learning, development, and significant professional impact.
Pyramid's commitment to its people, guests, property owners, and communities is reflected in its recognition as one of the best places to work by noted publications such as USA Today, The Boston Globe, and The Houston Chronicle. Moreover, its properties have earned prestigious accolades from Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, Forbes Travel Guide, and U.S. News & World Report. These honors underline the company’s dedication to fostering a positive workplace culture, delivering service excellence, and maintaining its status as an industry leader.
The La Quinta Resort and Club, a distinguished property within Pyramid’s portfolio, is located in La Quinta, California. This resort stands out not only for its premier guest experiences but also for its reputation as the best employer in the area. The resort’s culture is built upon core values centered around personal development, people, and a commitment to their success. La Quinta Resort and Club offers comprehensive benefit plans that include a 401(k) with company match and lucrative bonus programs. The resort seeks passionate and talented individuals who genuinely care about delivering outstanding service and creating memorable experiences for guests. Their aim is to build a resort environment that guests want to visit repeatedly, not just pass through.
The current opportunity is for the position of Steward at the La Quinta Resort and Club. This part-time, temporary role offers hourly compensation of $18.35 and entails essential duties that contribute significantly to kitchen operations and overall guest satisfaction. Stewards are responsible for maintaining cleanliness by washing dishes and cooking materials either manually or with machines, cleaning work areas and kitchen equipment, assisting with event setup and breakdown, and keeping floors and mats clean through sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming. Additionally, Stewards prepare various foods without cooking them, handle sorting and disposal of trash, and support banquet functions by delivering food and utensils to banquet rooms as well as returning used items back to the kitchen for cleaning.
Reporting directly to the Executive Steward, candidates accepted for this role must have a minimum of three months’ experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment within a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club. While on-the-job training will be provided, previous experience in similar settings ensures that candidates are prepared to meet the demands of this busy environment. Pyramid Global Hospitality champions diversity and inclusion, promoting an equal opportunity workplace where all employees can thrive. Compensation packages are determined based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, such as skills, experience, certification, and office location, which means rates may vary by location due to labor cost differences. Overall, this Steward role at La Quinta Resort and Club presents an excellent opportunity for hospitality professionals eager to join a reputable company that supports career growth, excellence in service, and a collaborative work culture.
