We are currently seeking a dedicated, motivated, and highly organized Hotel Night Supervisor to join our team in a vital operational role. This is a full-time position that requires the Night Supervisor to oversee the overnight activities of our hotel, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining excellent customer service, and supporting the front desk team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for the hospitality industry. The Night Supervisor will work collaboratively with other departments and staff members to meet hotel goals and uphold our brand standards with professionalism. Responsibilities include supervising front desk coverage during night shifts, auditing financial transactions, managing daily operational tasks, and ensuring guest safety and satisfaction. This role demands a person who is highly attentive to detail, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and who can make sound decisions under pressure.

In this role, you will monitor and manage the night audit process for accuracy, handle open balance assessments, and maintain comprehensive front desk coverage throughout the night. Your duties will also involve assisting with daily hotel operations such as staffing, inventory control, rate management, and reservation systems. Ensuring guest safety and privacy following established emergency and credit card handling procedures is a core responsibility. Additionally, you will maintain a clean and organized environment that complies with health, safety, and brand standards. Supervisory tasks include directing a team of front desk employees and coaching staff positions such as van drivers and housemen when necessary. You will engage directly with guests, providing warm and helpful service, managing check-ins and check-outs efficiently, and resolving any escalated guest concerns quickly and professionally. Coordination with other department heads to foster cooperation and enhance overall customer experience is key. Furthermore, you will support the General Manager with financial tracking duties, including monitoring budgets, expenses, revenue streams, and preparing reports. Effective communication skills are required to handle phone inquiries and administrative correspondence such as confirmation letters. Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hotel environment is preferred

  • demonstrated leadership ability including delegation, directing work, and complaint resolution

Job Duties

  • Monitor the night audit for accuracy and folios
  • make assessments on open balances without approved credit and take appropriate action
  • maintain 100% front desk coverage including audit shifts by covering shifts when necessary
  • assist in managing daily hotel operations such as staffing, inventory, rates, data backup, and reservation systems
  • ensure guest safety and privacy by enforcing emergency, key security, and credit card handling procedures
  • patrol public areas, investigate disturbances, and resolve conflicts
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in compliance with health, safety, and brand standards
  • directly supervise 1-15 front desk employees and train or cover positions such as van driver and housemen when necessary
  • greet and register guests, assign rooms, and handle check-ins and check-outs
  • handle guest relations, respond to inquiries about property policies or local attractions, and resolve escalated guest complaints
  • communicate and cooperate with other department heads to coordinate activities and improve customer satisfaction
  • assist the General Manager with budget monitoring, expense tracking, revenue streams, filing and posting changes to guest and city ledger accounts, planning and forecasting weekly room sales, and preparing month-end reports
  • handle phone inquiries and send out confirmation letters or return checks when registrations cannot be accepted
