The role of Guest Services Representative at Oak View Group is a crucial, on-call, per-event position based at the Mullett Arena. This role plays an essential part in delivering exceptional service to guests attending events, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall positive experience throughout their visit. Guest Services Representatives wear multiple hats, supporting duties such as ushering, ticket taking, and acting as door guards, which demands flexibility and responsiveness to event needs. The position offers an hourly wage of $17.00 and is ideal for those who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and enjoy interacting with the public. Guest Services Representatives serve as the frontline ambassadors for the Mullett Arena, bearing the responsibility of providing a secure environment for attendees and ensuring all services are delivered seamlessly. Their role includes greeting guests, scanning tickets, providing directions, monitoring restricted access areas, and assisting in emergency evacuations when necessary. Beyond routine tasks, employees in this role communicate regularly with supervisors using in-house radios to maintain coordinated event operations. This role requires a balance of attentiveness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and committed to attending at least two events per month. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Customer service experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Outgoing and friendly personality
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Flexible scheduling availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Minimum availability for 2 events per month
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift or move heavy objects as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Experience in customer service with exceptional communication skills
  • Comfortable working with the public with an outgoing and friendly personality
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, remaining flexible in the role
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work a minimum of 2 events per month at the Mullett Arena
  • Ability to stand in one location for extended periods
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move heavy objects

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to all guests
  • Greet and scan tickets as guests enter the building
  • Greet and usher guests to their seats
  • Provide directional assistance to guests throughout facility
  • Control and monitor all access to all restricted areas for events
  • Provide a safe and secure environment for Mullett Arena
  • Report actual/suspected violations of policies, procedures, rules, or regulations to supervisor
  • Complete an incident report on a timely basis, as required
  • Ensure emergency exits are clear at all times and assist guests with safe exits
  • Act as a member of the emergency evacuation team by directing guests to emergency exits
  • Move around to various positions/locations as event needs
  • Hand out materials to guests as needed for events
  • Follow all event procedures and safety standards
  • Employee must frequently communicate in-person and via in-house radios with supervisors to exchange information
  • Perform all other duties assigned by Event Manager, Event Coordinator, and/or Supervisor
