Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent working knowledge
  • Ability to handle ongoing face-to-face contact with patients, guests and staff
  • Excellent oral communication and listening skills to effectively interact pleasantly and calmly with patients, guests, and staff

  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Meet, greet and assist patients and guests and provide general information regarding services, the facility, and geographical area
  • Respond to special requests from patients, customers, and guests
  • make special arrangements to ensure unique needs are met
  • assist patients and guests with scheduling transportation or other services as needed
  • Gather, summarize and provide information to patients and guests about the property and surrounding area amenities and establishments
  • Coordinate patient needs with other departments or areas
  • contact appropriate individual or department as necessary to resolve patient requests
  • Coordinate access to care delivery areas, perform visitor authorization procedures, serve as liaison between visitors and staff, relay visitor concerns to staff, and coordinate visitor support services
  • Answer phone calls, transfer calls, take messages and relay messages and information as needed
  • Provide tours of the facility and escort customers to appropriate areas within the facility
  • Perform functions within established parameters, assisting patients, families, and the community at large with minimal supervision based on training and policies provided
  • Assist with patient and guest inquiries to ensure a positive experience
