Job Description
St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, part of the Marriott International portfolio, is a prestigious luxury hotel brand committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences at more than 50 locations worldwide. Founded by John Jacob Astor IV in the early twentieth century with the iconic St. Regis New York, the brand has built its reputation on sophisticated, bespoke service and a refined blend of classic elegance and modern innovation. Known for its signature Butler Service and unparalleled hospitality, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts strives to create memorable stays marked by personalized attention and impeccable standards.
The company is dedicated to fostering an inclusive work environment that values diverse backgrounds, talents, and experiences. As a global leader in the hospitality industry, Marriott International embraces equal opportunity employment principles, welcoming associates of all abilities and identities while upholding non-discrimination policies in accordance with applicable laws. Team members benefit from extensive support programs designed to promote career growth, wellbeing, and work-life balance. Flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, are preferred to meet the dynamic nature of guest services in a luxury hotel setting.
We are seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented individual to join our Rooms & Guest Services Operations team as a Front Desk Concierge at the St. Regis Chicago. This is a full-time, non-management position located at 401 E Upper Wacker Dr in Chicago, Illinois. The hourly pay rate for this role is $27.76.
In this role, the Front Desk Concierge will serve as a vital liaison between guests and hotel services, providing detailed directions, information on property amenities, and guidance on local attractions and activities. You will be responsible for promptly handling guest requests, routing inquiries to the appropriate departments such as Bellperson, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, or Security/Loss Prevention, and following up to ensure complete guest satisfaction. The position is key in maintaining guest loyalty by delivering courteous, attentive service, and anticipating guest needs with professionalism and warmth.
Job responsibilities include accurate message handling, effective communication of VIP arrivals for special attention, and responding to unique guest requests. The role demands adherence to company policies including safety protocols and confidentiality of proprietary information. Appearance standards must be maintained, reflecting the brand's elegant image.
Candidates must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, including telephone etiquette and the ability to use professional language while engaging with guests and colleagues. The ability to work cohesively within a team environment to achieve common goals is essential. Candidates should be adaptable, able to stand or walk for extended periods, and able to handle light physical tasks such as moving or lifting items up to 10 pounds.
Prior experience in hospitality is not mandatory, making this an excellent entry-level position for individuals seeking a career in luxury hotel services. A high school diploma or GED is required. We welcome applicants passionate about guest service and eager to contribute to an exceptional luxury experience. Benefits include health and dental insurance, paid time off, employee discounts, and opportunities for professional development.
Joining St. Regis Chicago means becoming part of a global team where you can do your best work, begin your purpose, belong, and become the best version of yourself in a vibrant, supportive, and dynamic hospitality environment.
