The Guest Service Associate (GSA) role at Global Partners is integral to maintaining the high standards and customer-centric values the company upholds. This position serves as the frontline representative who interacts directly with guests, playing a vital role in delivering an enjoyable and seamless shopping experience. The GSA will be responsible for greeting guests warmly, ensuring operational tasks at the store level are performed efficiently, and adhering strictly to safety, security, and quality protocols. This includes operating point-of-sale systems following corporate standards, maintaining cash and inventory levels, and upholding cleanliness and organization throughout the store. The role demands proactive communication with store management to relay guest requests and vendor concerns. It also involves completing gas tank inventories, merchandising projects, and other duties assigned by management.

Flexibility is crucial for this position, as the Guest Service Associate must be available to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical stamina is necessary since the job may require working in different temperature conditions such as outside environments or coolers, as well as performing physical activities like climbing ladders, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and accessing all areas of the store. Basic computer skills are needed for tasks such as managing POS transactions and completing required paperwork accurately. Reliable transportation is essential as the role demands punctuality and consistent attendance.

The compensation for this role ranges from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, with the final offer depending on experience, skills, and geographic location. Job Duties

  • greet guests and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for everyone
  • adhere to the execution of established safety, security, quality and store operations policies, procedures, and practices
  • operate the point of sale pursuant to corporate standards
  • maintain proper cash, lottery, tobacco levels
  • complete all store housekeeping functions including cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash
  • replenish products and supplies ensuring in-stock conditions at all times
  • communicate with store management regarding guest requests and vendor-related concerns
  • check in external and internal vendors per established guidelines
  • conduct gas tank inventory and merchandising projects assigned by management
  • complete other tasks as assigned by management
