The role of a Front Desk Associate at Drury Hotels, located at 4000 SW 40th Blvd., Gainesville, Florida, is both vital and dynamic, serving as the welcoming face of the hotel to all guests. As a Front Desk Associate, you will be the first and last point of contact for guests as they enter and leave the hotel. Your primary responsibility is to provide efficient, courteous, and professional service that enhances guest satisfaction. This includes checking guests in and out, promoting company programs, maintaining accurate guest records, handling cash transactions securely, and resolving any issues that arise promptly and effectively. Beyond front desk duties, you will also assist with the hotel’s complimentary breakfast and the 5:30 p.m. Kickback service, which may involve food preparation, setup, guest service roles such as hosting or bartending, and cleanup.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior customer service experience preferred
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • basic math skills for handling cash
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • reliable and punctual
  • willingness and ability to work alone as scheduled

Job Duties

  • Assist guests in a friendly, efficient, courteous, and professional manner
  • perform front desk related functions including checking guests in and out, promoting company programs, maintaining guest records, handling cash, monitoring guest satisfaction, and resolving problems
  • assist with breakfast and 5:30 p.m. Kickback service, including food preparation, set up, guest service, and cleanup
  • present and maintain a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality
  • ensure an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous, friendly, guest service with a plus 1 Service attitude
