Hosted jointly by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, this event promises to be the largest and most inclusive FIFA World Cup ever, engaging fans and players from across North America and around the globe. FIFA26 is dedicated to creating a world-class experience that blends exceptional hospitality, innovative event management, and safety at every level. The organization draws from a deep pool of international expertise and a passion for football to craft an extraordinary event that emphasizes participation, excitement, and lasting memories for all attendees.
The Guest Operations Outer Area Coordinator role is a match day-only, fixed-term position reporting directly to the Guest Operations Stadium Manager. This role serves as a vital link within the Guest Operations team, focused on managing the arrival and departure flow of V/VIP guests at assigned stadiums. The coordinator works collaboratively with multiple departments, including Transport, Safety & Security, and Guest Relations, to ensure seamless delivery of key VIP operations on match days. Responsibilities include guiding and supporting VIP arrivals, using guest tracking technologies for smooth departures, coordinating with security to maintain professionalism and confidentiality, and proactively managing crowd control and incident resolution. The position requires participation in select pre-tournament training sessions to prepare for the complexities of event day operations.
This role is based on-site in New York/New Jersey and offers compensation on a per-day basis in accordance with New York's Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, with an estimated pay rate of $225 per day. FIFA26 values experience, education, and relevant skills when determining individual compensation within the salary range and provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401k retirement plan.
Candidates should have a minimum of two years' experience in hospitality and guest management with operational exposure, preferably within stadium operations or VIP event programs at major sporting events. A bachelor’s degree in event planning, sports management, or a related field is required, with additional education in international organizations or sport management considered favorable. Fluency in English is essential, while additional language skills in Spanish or French are advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is also needed.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about sports event management, hospitality, and operational coordination, who thrive in dynamic, high-pressure environments. The Guest Operations Outer Area Coordinator will play an integral role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and secure experience for VIP guests, contributing to the overall success and prestige of FIFA World Cup 26™. By joining FIFA26, candidates become part of a team that is reshaping the landscape of international sports events and setting new standards for global engagement and fan experience.
