The current opening is for a Guest Attendant at the WoodSpring Suites property located in Algona, WA. This role is vital to the guest experience as it represents the first point of contact for visitors to the hotel. The Guest Attendant is responsible for managing front office operations, ensuring smooth check-ins and check-outs, and assisting with reservations and renewals. This customer-facing role requires professionalism, problem-solving ability, and a positive attitude to ensure guests feel welcomed and valued during their stay. Beyond front desk duties, the position also involves guest services such as conducting property tours, closing sales, fulfilling special requests, and managing laundry operations including washing, drying, and organizing linens and towels. The role additionally includes maintaining public areas through routine cleaning tasks and supporting marketing initiatives to boost hotel occupancy.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one year customer service experience
  • ability to perform physical tasks involving kneeling, squatting, standing, sitting, bending, and twisting for extended periods
  • ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50lbs
  • effective communication skills
  • proficiency in computer use
  • availability to work flexible hours
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Manage daily front office operations including reservations, renewals, check-outs, and check-ins
  • review and approve front office paperwork and reports
  • ensure guest needs are met and conduct tours for potential guests
  • fulfill special guest requests such as linen exchanges
  • complete laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels
  • maintain clean and organized laundry area
  • perform cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing public areas
  • assist with in-house guest sales and marketing initiatives to increase occupancy
  • follow property emergency procedures and ensure security of guests and property
  • perform other duties as assigned
