Job Description

Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is a widely recognized fast-casual restaurant chain specializing exclusively in chicken finger meals, proudly embodying their 'One Love' philosophy focused solely on delivering craveable chicken with exceptional quality and taste. Founded on a strong foundation of culture and teamwork, Raising Cane's has quickly risen to become one of the fastest-growing restaurant brands in the United States. The company is known not only for its delicious food but also for fostering a motivating, inclusive environment where the work ethos revolves around the motto: Work Hard. Have Fun. Their vibrant crew and cool culture make it a rewarding place to work, encouraging continuous personal and professional growth.

As a full-time career destination, Raising Cane's offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, making it a desirable choice for restaurant professionals committed to excellence and teamwork. Full-time Restaurant Managers at Raising Cane's benefit from a robust suite of medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy coverage. Additionally, employees have access to dependent care and flexible healthcare spending accounts, company-provided life and disability insurance, and coverage options including hospital indemnity, accident, and critical illness benefits. Financial wellness is prioritized with a 401(k) plan featuring an employer match for those age 21 and older, complemented by access to financial advisors for budgeting and retirement planning. Employee wellness is further supported through perks like a One Pass gym membership program, tuition reimbursement, a crewmember assistance program, and even pet insurance.

The Perks and Rewards for Restaurant Managers include weekly pay (with some geographic exceptions), competitive salary plus monthly bonus incentives, paid time off including sick days, eight paid holidays annually, early closure for company events, and a casual work attire policy. An employee discount program via Perkspot rounds out an attractive employment package designed to encourage employee engagement and satisfaction.

In this context, the Growth Restaurant Leader holds a critical strategic role within Raising Cane's leadership structure. This position is responsible for the successful opening of new restaurants and acts as a mentor and trainer of the Restaurant Leader during new restaurant openings (NROs). Collaboration is essential, as the Growth Restaurant Leader works closely with the Restaurant Leader to ensure all performance milestones are met before and after a store launch. Beyond opening oversight, this leader is charged with the training team's performance management, administrative responsibilities related to new restaurant openings, and ongoing operational support to foster team development and store success.

The role entails working in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment with physical demands such as extended walking, standing, lifting, and bending. The leader will interact regularly with customers and work both indoors and outdoors under a variety of temperature conditions. Awareness and precaution are necessary when working with food products, allergens, industrial equipment, and commercial cleaning agents, requiring personal protective equipment compliance.

Key responsibilities include leading the strategic planning and execution of new restaurant openings, managing daily operations while enforcing Raising Cane's policies and standards, and driving staff development. The Growth Restaurant Leader oversees staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management processes, ensuring that employees are supported and recognized through reward and recognition programs. Regular operational audits and feedback loops are designed to optimize performance and ensure compliance with financial, people, and operational management goals. Shift management responsibilities include upholding safety standards and conducting performance observation walks to identify areas for improvement, taking corrective actions as necessary.

Candidates who excel in this role are detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple, often changing, priorities. They are self-driven, flexible, and bring a high level of energy, coupled with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team framework is essential. Problem-solving skills that include goal setting, strategic planning, and execution are critical for success. Familiarity and proficiency with technology, such as Microsoft Office products, alongside adaptability to new systems, are required.

Applicants must meet the criteria for a Restaurant Leader at Raising Cane's, be available for various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and travel for work functions or training. Preferred candidates will have over five years of restaurant or retail management experience, advanced knowledge of labor laws, staffing, scheduling, people management, profit and loss oversight, and financial management. Experience with new restaurant openings is a significant advantage. The role requires candidates to be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent (with some college preferred), and hold a valid driver's license.

This opportunity represents a chance to join one of America's fastest-growing restaurant concepts and contribute to its goal of becoming a Top 10 restaurant brand nationally. If you are passionate about leadership, operational excellence, and career growth within a vibrant company culture, Raising Cane's is eager to welcome you to their team and help you raise the bar in your restaurant leadership journey.
