We are currently seeking a dynamic and service-oriented Sales Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in shaping customer loyalty and expanding our account share by delivering exceptional service excellence across every customer interaction. The Sales Manager will immerse themselves in understanding the hotel brand and strategy thoroughly, empowering them to effectively promote and sell venues, services, and event facilities.

Core responsibilities include soliciting new accounts through telemarketing, appointments, site tours, cold calls, and communication via email, phone, and in-person meetings. The Sales Manager will advise clients on the hotel’s facilities and services, catering primarily to groups and event planning needs. Building and maintaining a client base composed of organizations, associations, and corporate businesses through direct sales techniques is critical. Strong negotiation skills are essential as the role involves negotiating food and beverage packages, function spaces, room rates, and hotel services in alignment with revenue goals.

The position also entails contract negotiation following company guidelines, ensuring all solicitation, closure, and communication are meticulously documented. Conducting guided tours of property facilities and entertaining prospective clients while adhering to company and property policies are key components of the role. In addition, the Sales Manager is responsible for providing timely and accurate responses to RFPs (requests for proposals) and information inquiries.

Part of the role’s strategic elements includes monitoring local competition to benchmark services and offerings, generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed by the Director of Sales or General Manager, and contributing to Quarterly and Annual Business and Marketing Plans while participating in budget preparations. Flexibility in work hours is required, including availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays, supporting operational demands and client engagements.

Candidates must exhibit an outgoing personality and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Effective collaboration with the hotel service team to deliver excellent customer service, strong written and verbal communication abilities, and a proactive approach to achieving sales goals are vital. Time management capabilities and an understanding of revenue management strategies will support success in this fast-paced and assertive sales environment.

Education requirements include a minimum of a high school diploma, with post-secondary education preferred. Experience-wise, a minimum of two years in hotel service or sales roles is favored.
