The Housekeeper/Groundskeeper position at The Elms at Clarksburg/Encore offers an excellent opportunity to join this dynamic team. This role focuses on maintaining the beauty and upkeep of the community’s common areas, grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and other community facilities. The position reports directly to the Service Manager and involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the property remains safe, attractive, and well-maintained. This role is crucial for creating a welcoming and pleasant environment for residents and visitors alike.
In this role, you will actively participate in waste removal from multiple areas including offices, common spaces, and vacant apartments. You will assist in eviction processes and help prepare market-ready units by cleaning and removing trash. Additionally, you will aid in maintaining apartment units and models, performing minor repairs related to mechanical, carpentry, and electrical issues. The position requires vigilance in reporting maintenance concerns and safety hazards to ensure the community remains in excellent condition. You will perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks such as checking exterior lighting, painting community structures, watering plants to promote longevity, and removing debris and pet waste across the property. You will also be responsible for upkeep of fences, gates, gutters, retaining walls, playground equipment, and performing emergency maintenance duties including storm damage repair and snow removal.
This position requires physical capability as it involves lifting, climbing stairs, and working in various weather conditions. The hourly pay range is competitive, from $17.65 to $20.67 depending on experience, complemented by an annual bonus potential of up to $5,000. Job Duties
- Remove trash from office, common areas and community
- Help with evictions
- Assist in the preparation of market ready units including removing trash from vacant apartments to make-ready
- Assist in the cleaning of available apartments and/or models
- Assist in the troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problems
- Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas
- Check and replace exterior lighting
