- grill cook experience required
- ability to work flexible full-time or part-time evening shifts
- capacity to perform physical tasks related to job such as carrying food containers

- must be able to work in an educational facility environment
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior grill cook experience required
- knowledge of inventory management and supervisory experience considered a plus
- ability to follow established recipes and food safety standards
- strong customer service skills
- ability to work flexible shifts including evenings
- good communication and teamwork skills
- ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- physical ability to carry pans, kettles, and trays
- capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation
- completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations
- serves customers efficiently and friendly following established steps of service
- ensures food is at correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- tastes all prepared food items to maintain quality
- follows ticket-collection procedures during service
- maintains records from area worked during service periods
- uses approved recipes and production standards for quality, serving temperatures, and portion control
- carries pans, kettles, and trays safely according to standards
- stores foods properly following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures
- cleans, sanitizes, and maintains assigned work areas, equipment and utensils
- resolves customer concerns and reports important information to supervisor
- attends in-service and safety meetings
- maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- performs job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- performs other duties as assigned
