Sodexo is currently hiring for the position of Grill Cook at a Mass Media Company location. This is a full-time role offering a pay range between $7.25 and $25.79 per hour. The work schedule consists of varying shifts and days with a preference for candidates who have open availability. Additional details on work hours and shifts will be shared during the interview process.

As a Grill Cook at Sodexo, you will be an integral part of a team that prioritizes not only food preparation but also customer service and food waste reduction. Your role will involve preparing and creating a variety of nutritious dishes, ensuring that quality and presentation meet Sodexo’s high standards during various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events. You will be responsible for efficiently and accurately grilling, portioning, and presenting hot and cold food items. The Grill Cook position demands excellent teamwork, adaptability, and a positive attitude to contribute to a safe and healthy work environment. You will operate kitchen equipment such as grill stations and fryers and follow recipes precisely to meet customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred
  • Open availability preferred
  • Ability to work varying shifts and flexible hours
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and according to standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare, portion, grill, and present various hot and cold food items for multiple meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events
  • Read and measure or mix ingredients according to recipe(s)
  • Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned, which may vary among accounts based on business needs and client requirements
  • Reduce food waste through efficient preparation and teamwork
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
