Job Description
Eureka! is a dynamic and values-driven restaurant brand that is dedicated to making people feel good and feel alive through its core values of Energy, Discovery, and Community. The company expresses a genuine delight in finding, discovering, or solving something new and exciting, an enthusiasm that they extend not only to their guests but also to their employees. With a culture full of passionate individuals committed to serving customers who are hungry to explore a local blend of America's best cuisine, Eureka! strives to provide an exceptional dining experience. The brand's emphasis on passion and enthusiasm is reflected in its invitation to talented individuals who want to create amazing experiences for guests while also being supportive and cooperative teammates.
The Hospitality Guide role at Eureka! is an essential position representing the brand at the very first point of contact with guests. This position requires a warm and outgoing personality and a passion for making guests feel welcome through genuine friendliness and professionalism. The Hospitality Guide is responsible for greeting guests, managing the seating process efficiently, handling telephone calls courteously, and maintaining cleanliness and order at the entrance and the greeter desk. This role is vital in guiding guests through Eureka!'s service model and ensuring adherence to the company’s policies, including dress code and behavioral standards. Working in a fast-paced and engaging environment, the Hospitality Guide must provide accurate information about the menu and bar offerings with enthusiasm and clarity.
In addition to guest interaction, the Hospitality Guide supports overall restaurant operations by sanitizing seating areas, bussing and setting tables to Eureka! standards, delivering food and beverages when needed, and assisting service team members to ensure a seamless experience. Proficiency with technology such as the POS system and waitlist application is also required to offer efficient service. The role demands consistent attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude, as well as the ability to thrive in a physically demanding environment involving extended standing, bending, lifting, and the safe handling of various equipment.
Eureka! values diversity and requires all employees to submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or seek accommodations for medical or religious reasons. The Hospitality Guide position is a non-exempt, at-will employment opportunity reporting directly to the General Manager, suitable for individuals who are proactive, service-oriented, and eager to contribute to a team focused on delivering memorable dining experiences. This role offers candidates an environment where they can grow their hospitality skills, interact with a diverse customer base, and become an integral part of a vibrant company culture.
