The Hospitality Guide position at Eureka! is a frontline role vital to delivering an exceptional guest experience. Hospitality Guides serve as the first point of contact, representing the brand with personal style and professionalism. This non-exempt position involves greeting guests warmly, seating them attentively, and managing all guest interactions with courtesy and helpfulness. The Hospitality Guide also maintains a clean and welcoming entrance and greeting area. Reporting directly to the General Manager and indirectly to other management personnel, this role requires an individual who is not only outgoing and passionate about the brand but also reliable, knowledgeable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

The essential job functions include greeting and guiding guests through Eureka!’s unique service model with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude, ensuring accurate responses to guest inquiries about menu and bar items, and efficiently managing wait times using the Waitlist app. The role also involves sanitizing seating areas before guests arrive, assisting service champions by bussing tables or delivering food and beverages as needed, and maintaining the greeter desk and surrounding spaces. Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and proper food and drink placement are important, as well as polishing and rolling silverware and periodically maintaining restroom cleanliness. The Hospitality Guide embodies genuine friendliness to create a welcoming environment that encourages guests to return. They adhere strictly to company policies including dress code guidelines and are accountable for consistent attendance and punctuality.

Candidates for this role must be at least 18 years old and hold a Food Handler Safety Card. They will need to be comfortable using various equipment such as telephones, POS systems, the Yelp waitlist iPad and third-party tablets, as well as other tools like trays, coffee and espresso machines (if applicable), and sanitizing supplies. The work environment is physically demanding, requiring prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting supplies up to 25 pounds. Team members work around hot, cold, and sometimes hazardous equipment in a busy and often loud setting that values safety and efficiency.

Eureka! operates on an at-will employment basis, allowing employees to resign at any time for any reason and enabling the company to terminate employment under similar conditions. The company also requires proof of full COVID-19 vaccination as part of its employment conditions, with accommodations available for medical or religious reasons. Importantly, Eureka! does not use contingent or direct-to-hire staffing firms in its recruitment process at this time. Job Duties

  • Greet all guests with personal style

  • Sanitize all tables and chairs prior to seating
  • Assist Service Champions in bussing tables
  • Deliver food and beverages as needed
  • Carry drinks to tables from the bar
  • Maintain greeter desk and surrounding area

  • Polish and roll silverware
  • Thank departing guests and invite them to return
  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms periodically
