Job Description

Prestonwood Baptist Church (PBC) is a vibrant and welcoming church community committed to serving its congregation and visitors with grace and professionalism. Located in Plano, Texas, PBC is one of the largest churches in the region, known for its dynamic ministry programs, impactful community outreach, and rich spiritual environment. The church offers a wide range of services including worship programs, educational classes, community events, and special gatherings that cater to diverse populations and needs. As a faith-based organization, PBC is dedicated to fostering a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ while providing outreach and support to both church members and the broader community.

The role of Receptionist at Prestonwood Baptist Church is a crucial position that serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers. This role requires an individual who is not only personable and courteous but also highly organized and knowledgeable about the church’s operations, special events, and security protocols. As the face of the church reception, the receptionist is responsible for greeting all visitors, responding to telephone inquiries, and ensuring that all individuals on the church premises are accounted for via the use of the Raptor visitor management system. The receptionist plays an essential role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment by coordinating with campus security and staff members as needed.

This full-time or part-time position (depending on the church's scheduling needs) demands flexibility in work hours, especially during special church events when increased visitor traffic is expected. The Receptionist must maintain an ongoing presence at the front desk, managing multiple tasks efficiently despite frequent interruptions, and provide assistance with projects for various church departments when necessary. The candidate must also demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to manage routine email correspondence, and the capability to engage visitors with positivity and professionalism.

By joining Prestonwood Baptist Church as a Receptionist, an individual becomes part of a mission-driven team dedicated to advancing the church’s ministry while providing exceptional visitor services. This role emphasizes reliability, attentiveness, and a strong alignment with PBC’s spiritual values and community ethos. The church offers a supportive work environment where staff members work in harmony to enhance the experience of everyone who walks through the doors. The receptionist position at PBC is not only a job but a ministry opportunity to serve others with kindness, efficiency, and faith.
