The candidate will often speak in front of large groups comprising beginning golfers and volunteers, thus requiring excellent communication and public speaking skills. The role also encompasses assisting in creating an annual schedule of events for the Green Team program and participating in Saturday morning play sessions. Furthermore, the position demands flexibility with work hours, often including Saturdays, holidays, and potential schedule changes on short notice.\n\nThis part-time position typically involves working 16 to 28 hours per week and does not include any supervisory responsibilities. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 12 months of relevant experience or training in golf course supporting role
  • Ability to use TEI software and manage electronic tee sheet systems
  • Excellent social perceptiveness and customer service skills
  • Flexible availability to work varied hours including Saturdays and holidays
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and assisted lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Strong attendance and punctuality record

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 12 months directly related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in golf course operations
  • Proficient knowledge of Golf Genius, MailChimp, email distribution lists, and website administration considered a plus
  • Excellent people skills

  • Ability to operate TEI software and electronic tee sheet systems
  • Demonstrated capability to manage customer interactions effectively

Job Duties

  • Provide impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness
  • Evaluate customer satisfaction and adapt service accordingly
  • Coordinate information using TEI software, Tee sheet and Point of Sale systems
  • Manage booking and modification of tee times including straight, shotgun, and double tee starts
  • Create golf tournaments and prepare related documentation such as pairings, scorecards, rule sheets, and scoreboards
  • Host golf rules and etiquette presentations utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint or similar software
  • Speak confidently in front of large groups of beginning golfers and volunteers
  • Assist in creating a yearly schedule of events for the Green Team program and attend Saturday morning play
  • Foster teamwork and maintain effective working relationships with golf staff, employees, vendors and community members
  • Work a flexible schedule including Saturday mornings, potentially holidays and short-notice schedule changes
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Perform other duties as assigned
